[lang_en] I started a free 10 day email course from Jon Bensons’ Fit Over Forty website. I am an affiliate and I thought that I should know and understand what this course and his program includes before advertising it with Pay Per Click-search engines. This is day two of the course. Well I do feel better even with one day under my belt. I am not sure whether the better feeling comes from a mind set that says since you are taking this course you should feel better or whether because I am taking care that I am beginning to feel better. What ever it is, I’ll accept it and go on from there.

Day one’s email was Jon talking about the course and what I should expect. Day two however begins to get into the good stuff and I thought that I will tell you about that. This email starts with a strong suggestion that I start my day with with what he calls fasting-cardio. He suggests that you take 5 grams of L-Glutamine prior to exercise. This is a simple amino acid that will help to keep you out of a carbolic (muscle-wasting) state. He then suggests that you take a cup of coffee prior to exercise but take it only if your doctor permits you to have coffee. He says that it helps liberate brown fat and helps get the thermogenic effect going. That means to increase your internal body heat to break down fat cells. Finally he suggests that you exercise up to 65-75 % of your maximum heart rate for at least 20 minutes. If you are a sedentary person (I like that better than couch-potato) then you should begin your exercise slowly and build up to the higher 65-75 percent heart rate. Just start doing some simple walking on a tread mill if you have one or go for a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Try to do it for 20 minutes at least. I can tell you that brisk walking with attention paid to your diet will put you on a good course to slim and trim your body fat.
