If you are wondering why your HHO system isn’t giving you better gas mileage after you have completed your generator, made sure that it worked, tested the connections for leakage , and watched the generator make a lot of gas, but still didn’t have any additional gas savings ;maybe your EFIE isn’t giving you the help you need. If you say, “EFIE,” what is that? I have news for you from the cutting-edge of EFIE Science. Additional gasoline savings from HHO are available to us through the efforts of a neat device called an EFIE.

Probably the most important way to retain the gains from your hard-working HHO generator is to somehow alter the factory established air to fuel ratio programing of your car’s computer. While some folks are able to interact with the programing algorithms most of us are afraid to alter or change these basic programs in the fear that our warranty could be violated. . Having some good effect on changing the air to fuel ratio was always a tricky procedure which could alter several other sensors as well, with those changes not always in your favor. By this I mean that too much leaning could violate programing guidelines which you were not aware of which could result in multiple engine codes flashing on your dashboard. The development of the EFIE was the first safe way around those problems.

In the past some fuel savers like a HHO System would not work when attached to fuel injected cars and trucks because these vehicles were actually designed to prevent efficient combustion. Increasing the combustion efficiency of the engine through .for example, a Water4Gas Generator increased the oxygen percentage in the exhaust therefore the problem with most of our factory derived computer algorithms.. Most ,if not all , fuel systems monitor the air/fuel ratio by monitoring the increase or decreased oxygen levels in the cars exhaust. The sensor most used to monitor the air to fuel ratio is normally the inboard oxygen sensor, that one nearest to the Catalytic Converter . The amount of added oxygen in the exhaust sends a signal to the computer either to enrich the gas mixture or to lean the mixture. Unfortunately the best effects of your HHO System will add higher oxygen levels to the exhaust and , by the way, with a much cleaner exhaust thus having a positive effect on the environment. However your car will react to that signal in the opposite way you would wish by enriching the fuel mixture and burning more instead of less gasoline. But all is not lost.

As I said, the EFIE was developed to counteract that problem in a safe way. The EFIE allows you to apply an offset to the voltage coming from the oxygen sensor, so that your cars’ computer is completely unaware the the oxygen content in the exhaust has increased. There are full instructions that come with each EFIE that will detail how to install and how to work the little gadget. For your information I bought my first one from Eagle Research and it was okay but was the bare bones one for $75.00 including postage. My second one was from fuelsavers-mpg.com and it was much better and easier to work with. And best of all, less expensive. The EFIE alone can save you 5-10% on your fuel bill simply by leaning your fuel mixture, but it is really designed as an add-on for fuel savers such as hydrogen generators.

I hope that you enjoyed this Post. I have a free ebook on the HHO Basics that I will be glad to send you. Just email me at jimclay1153@gmail.com. thanks for visiting, keep in touch and all the best, Jim

Here are some thoughts if you aren’t yet certain about which way to go with the water/gas technology. For a very well rounded education you definitely need to get Ozzie Freedoms books, at water4gas. At $ 97.00it is expensive but not as expensive as doing nothing while the price of gas inches up above $3.00 in the States and heavens knows what in the rest of the world. I feel that the price will go on up to heights of 4 and 5 dollars a gallon. If you are not trying to extend your mileage then you are loosing every time you have to pull in to the gas pumps. I have bought Ozzie’s books and I feel that it gave me a good start in understanding the technology and of courszxe building my generator.

My wife and I figured out that we pay almost two hundred dollars additioinal a quarter for gasoline for our car and truck and I do not drive the truck very much. Our gas expenditures have increased almost 200 percent while our income has stayed the same. Since we are retired anything that rises like gasoline needs to be addressed quickly before it causes us irreparable harm. We feel that saving 23 to 30 % of our monthly gasoline cost is well worth the purchase of Ozzie’s books and the help he gives you to build either the vaporizer , electrolysis unit along with the other electronic gadgets that are necessary for the newer cars and trucks, like my EFIE.

If I can save even something then I am gaining what I can from BIG OIL and OPEC.. Its a blow for my energy independence and freedom from the enslavement to gasoline. Wow, I didn’t know that I had it in me!! But seriously, each of us needs to make some commitment to savings at the gas pump or our life style will not be anywhere near what we had enjoyed before 9/11

For those of us with newer cars and truck that are fuel injected, the suggestion is that using an EFIE alone can give some gas savings of 3-5 percent and maybe more. But it takes you to check your engine and discover whether your oxygen sensors are narrow band or wide band. Also check to see that you have fuel injection and not a carburetor. Fuel injected cars and trucks were perpetrated on us starting in 1988, I think and there went the ease of leaning your own carburetor. Our car industry have not treated us well. Through the ECU and other electronic things that are applied to our cars and truck, the combustion of gasoline in the car/truck was set to rich without thought of complete combustion or combustion that did not pollute the atmosphere. We need to move forward and do what Detroit can’t or won’t do and using water/ gas technology burn cleaner and less polluting through the water/gas electrolysis and vaporizer units. As an additional concern is that if you do not use an EFIE you probably will not be able to lock in your gains in additional milles per gallon so it makes sense to learn about the tweaks necessary to have gains. I hope you inderatand all that. If not , if you have questions, please email me for my free ebook on a A Guide to a Hydrogen Generator That You Can Build. It is all free just send me an email at jimclay1153@gmail.com and I will send you one back with the free ebook. Thanks for reading, All the best, Jim

This will be just a short Post. I just thought that I would alert you to this gradual creeping up of gasoline prices by the local service ( I don’t know why we call them service-there is very little service offered) stations. We are heading for $2.00 and believe me I will not mention that I told you so. Remember that Tapwaterforgas has everything that you need to build your own Hydrogen Generator and by purchasing the really good Water4Gas Manuals you can take advantage of the latest in Hydrogen Technology for cars and trucks.

Along with this latest information you can avail yourself of the very latest in EFIE Technology from those great folks at fuelsavers-mpg.com. Before you invest in an EFIE check their very reasonable prices and talk with the owner, Mike on his forum. These folks give you every thing you need to get up and operating with the latest in EFIE Technology. There are two articles that I feature on my website from Mike on EFIE’s and why you need them.

Take advantage of all the free stuff on Tapwaterforgas while you get prepared for the next gasoline increase. And while you are at it-remember that you can indeed beat the heck out of the coming gasoline increases by investing in a Hydrogen Generator and quality EFIE.

I was just visiting these guys and ran across a picture of one of their deluxe single EFIE models and thought I would add it here for your interest. To think I paid the same amount that they charge for this beauty and received a single stripped down EFIE. As I think you know, I didn’t know that these folks at fuelsavers-mpg.com were in business at the time I bought mine. Darn. Anyway here is I hope that this worked. The model is really well built and much easier to work then my stripped down one.

Well today 1-15-09, the price of gasoline inched up to $1.81 and the station persons say it is definitely going to jump to $2.00 as the supplies tighten up. Now is a great time to begin getting some of your own back from the Gasoline Companies by building and using either a Hydrogen Generator or a charged water system. I’m saving some money by squeezing out 3 more miles to every gallon in my Mazda 2003 6 Cylinder Pick-Up. I am able to save these extra miles by using one of the nifty EFIEs from fuelsaver-mpg.com. You really need to commit to this program, both Water4gas and fuelsaver=mpg.com And now is the time to do it before gasoline hits $5.00 and up a gallon.

I just heard from a visitor to my website, Anto from Indonesia. He has just completed a new hydrogen generator, a dry cell type and has also sent pix. I will try and add that to this Post tomorrow AM and will try and add his pix as well. I might add that I was contacted by several guys from Poland who tell me that the gasoline prices are really soaring up there. I hope that your prices haven’t really started up with such increases. They are really worried. I think that we all should be a little concerned but if you avail yourselves of the good, free information on this site you should be sitting pretty and not too worried with the rising of the prices. After all, it is not difficult to build a generator and many have done it and are enjoying the additional miles per gallon.

I am going to add the information from Anto from Indonesia. Here it is: ” now i have already build new dry cell consist of SS plate 316L 1,2mm thick with size 6X6 inc
(+nnnn-nnnn+nnnn-) gasket between plate 2,6mm, i test the generator can produce 1,5 LPM with 13,5 volt 15A.
I’ll posting foto my generator later on.” As soon as I can get his photos I will post them in a new post with I hope more information from Anto. If there are some of you interested to contact him and you live in close proximity to Anto, email me at the address below and I will forward your requests to Anto.

Thanks for visiting, keep in touch and if you want that free ebook on Hydrogen Generators and Water-Based Hybrids just email me at jimclay1153@gmail.com and I will send it to you. Jim

I have been writing about hydrogen generators and efies or electronic fuel injection enhancers since March 2008. I had purchased the Manuals from Water4gas early in my writing career and had built a charged water system, feeling more comfortable with a charged system rather than a generator percolating away under the hood and out of sight while I drove. I realize that that statement was not exactly a testimony to my faith that the Water4Gas canister or fruit jar ( which is what it really is and borrowed from my wife’s numerous canning jars) wouldn’t explode at some time and send glass shrapnel through the engine compartment. Well it never did and I am here to tell you that I have renewed faith in Ozzie Freedom’s plans and his “fruit jar.” The fruit jar works and works well.

Water4gas has always been most proud of the fact and wanted it known through the world that these designs could be replicated by anyone no matter where they lived or how well off their particular nation was . This design of Water4gas has always been the design for “everyman” to build his Hydrogen Generator no matter the level of his sophistication or ability. I believe that the designers and replicators of Water4gas have achieved their desire and there plans are available throughout the world and are being build in one form or another just about everywhere.

The Efie however is another kettle of fish entirely. I can put together a fruit jar with 1/4 inch Plexiglas frame for terminals but frankly cannot with the same ease wire up a device that floats a current that my truck’s computer would believe. Not me, no sir. However I was saved from that by recklessly purchasing a stripped down single EFIE device from Eagle Research. There is nothing particularly wrong with the stripped down device but I found after checking some more that the same stripped down device was available from fuelsavers-mpg.com for about half the original price and if I had checked further I could have purchased two stripped down EFIEs for the same price as I paid for the earlier one. My fault entirely but that bringns up a case in point. Before you are ready to part with your hard-earned money, check! If I had checked, it would have cost me 1/2 for the stripped down model or a little more for the deluxe EFIE at fuelsavers-mpg.com. Live and learn as they say.

I am using my water4gas knowledge to power this website and to power my 2003 Mazda Truck. I am retaining some of the money that I use to buy gasoline. I feel that I have made a good choice in Hydrogen Generators. I am more comfortable with simple equipment and can repair and clean the internals of the generator without spending a lot of time on taking them apart. All in all I have made some good choices and learned a lot about this ever changing field of Water-Based Hybrids. I hope that you will feel the same.

I think that the Hydrogen Generator series on my website is about played out. Everyone is aware of the importance of the Hydrogen Generator to maximize your additional miles from a gallon of gasoline but not everyone is aware of how important the EFIE ( pronounced E-fy ) is to the Hydrogen Generation System. Frankly without the EFIE you probably will not be able to keep any gains that the Hydrogen Generator gives you. It is a quirk of the fuel injection system of most newer cars and I am speaking about cars from 1988 to 2008 that the cars computer controls all aspects of the engine from timing to AFR or air-fuel-ratio. This latter is derived from the upstream oxygen sensor, the one closest to the catalytic converter. So when the additional oxygen from your Hydrogen Generator is detected in the exhaust system, the computer reacts by adding more fuel and thus enriches the fuel in the combustion chamber.

So How can you correct this naturally occurring situation? Well there are several ways. One is with what is called a MAP sensor that floats a voltage on top of the MAP sensors voltage to fool the computer. And the other is by using what is called an EFIE that also floats a voltage on top of the oxygen sensor voltage also fooling the computer. I favor using the EFIE because you are correcting the sensor which primarily feeds into the computer that handles the Air-Fuel-Ratio. There are several very reputable companies on the web that sell these sensors. Eagle Research is one and the other one is fuelsavers-mpg.com where I purchased mine.

What I am showing in these two videos are first, a video on oxygen sensors and the second one is the beginning video showing how to build an EFIE if your are interested. For your information, a complete set of wiring plans for the initial wiring harness for a simplified Hydrogen Generator is included in the Water4Gas Manuals as is a complete wiring plans to build an EFIE , MAP and MAF Sensors. The price for the two Manuals is $97.00 . Anyway, here is the first video.

This next video is a good explanation about the EFIE. In this video you will actually see an EFIE from Eagle Research. I bought this one when I was very new in this field. This EFIE is sold for $75.00 including shipping from Western Canada to my home in Western North Carolina. It took about three weeks to receive and is the same one that is sold by fuel-savers.mpg.com for $47.00 or about that. I like the way that fuel-savers boxes their EFIEs so that it is easier to establish the way points for city and country driving.

Anyway, here is the second video of this series. As I come across interesting videos I will make sure to post them here. It is my idea that anyone visiting my website will be able to build their own hydrogen generator and have their EFIE without having to spend a lot of money. That of course is also the goal of the folks at Water4gas. The more their system is spread through out the world, the better it is for all of us.

I am going to continue showing the video of the simple hydrogen generator on my website and will continue to ask those who visit if they will build one themselves to get involved in this water for gas field. The worst thing that we as people can do is to sit back and let the gasoline crises continue to catastrophic heights where only 2 out of one thousand can afford to put gasoline in their tank. This Post answers the questions of , Do Hydrogen Generators Work?’ You will be able to see that in the video and Hydrogen Generators for automobiles. So here it is, the embedded video for the simple hydrogen generator..

DIY Hydrogen Generator 101 – Watch the top videos of the week here

You will find that there are competing programs for Hydrogen Generators on the Internet some just manuals with little or no backup and some with over the top backup and lots of data for you to use to build your own. Fortunately there are some who prefer to build the generator for you and these range from the smacks booster types with 16 or more dimpled stainless steel plates charging the distilled water to the ultra sophisticated ones that give money-back guarantees if the system does not perform as sold.

Since I am more of a do-it-yourself person although without much mechanical skills I choose to purchase and build the hydrogen generator specifically for the charged water system from Water4Gas.Com. These folks fall in the range of those who give you a lot of information. The two manuals, however, which is what you use to build your system are clearly detailed and very explicit with photos and diagrams. The author takes great pains so that you know what is needed and insists that you closely follow his instructions. A good point since the hydrogen and oxygen gases are volatile and can explode in the presence of an open flame. You must work in a well ventilated space and not smoke around the electrolysis unit.

Wait a minute. Whats this talk about an electrolysis unit. Well you see that is the primary part of the Hydrogen Generator System. I emphasize system because this system for hydrogen generation is composed of an electrolysis unit, a vaporizer, electric wiring to your DC source (usually your 12 volt battery) and then either an EFIE or a MAP sensor plus several refinements like a fuel heater for example which you will build as well. Whoa !!

That is five things that I have to build?. You can have a system that only has the electrolysis unit. vaporizer, EFIE and/or MAP sensor and achieve your purpose of more miles per gallon and less cost. You see that your cars control system is not your friend. And if you read on, you’ll see what I mean.

The hydrogen generation by itself is great and does the job BUT if your car has a modern fuel injection installed ( installed on cars from model years 1988 and newer) , your cars computer will not allow you to decrease your noxious hydrocarbons in the exhaust which is one of the good byproducts you will receive from hydrogen generation. That’s why the next steps have to be adding electronic gadgets to keep the computer satisfied that all the sensors are reading data correctly. The EFIE ( Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancer) and the MAP sensor ( Manifold Air Pressure) in several ways feed data that controls the leaning or enriching of fuel into the combustion chamber. What the hydrogen does is cause the gasoline to more completely burn, adding more oxygen to the exhaust (being kind to the environment, adding miles per gallon to your car and allowing you to keep more of your gasoline money) but raising hell with the computers algorithms. So enter the EFIE and MAP sensors. Sort of like The Lone Ranger riding into town. Only you get all the the benefit while your car runs quieter, runs cooler, gets more miles per gallon than the factory thought it could and the pressure on your pocketbook is lessened. All from starting with Hydrogen Generation which by the way is an old science and known for better than 100 years.

It can and does happen that many of us who build and use the hydrogen generators get sosme if not a fair amount of hydrogen gas from the self-built Hydrogen Generators. I have a free ebook on the Water for gas field and hydrogen generation that I will give you. Just send me an email at jimclay1153@gmail.com and I will send it on to you. Thanks for stopping by and reading my posts. Keep in touch and all the best, Jim

Well here we go again. This was a report from an OPEC Meeting in Vienna. The report was sent to Hubpages and concerned the stabilization of gasoline prices in the user nations. Opec feels that the higher costs of their barrels of oil should be brought back by cutting their output of crude oil. Here is part of the AP report:

” Vienna, Austria (AFP, AP, Bloomberg) – The OPEC oil group announced a cut of 520,000 barrels per day (bpd) to its output on Wednesday, citing downside risks to the oil market as prices fell below 100 dollars for the first time since April.
Crude oil jumped in New York and Asia as OPEC President Chakib Khelil called on members to stop producing more than the group’s set quota after prices fell to almost $100 a barrel.”

I was surprised at the number of handheld tuning devices for cars and trucks. You would think that some smart person would develop a tuner that you could work with to change data points for the air to fuel ratio and to override the oxygen sensor. Imagine using that along with your Hydrogen Generator and cranking out multiple miles per gallon. Sigh- I guess that time is not here yet.

Finally, if you would like a copy of my free ebook A Guide to Hydrogen Generators just drop me an email at jimclay1153@gmail.com and I will send one to you. Thanks for stopping by and reading my Post. All the best, Jim

I’ve been bemused reading about tuning the cars engine and somewhat amazed at seeing how many ways you can effect fuel economy through tuning. A byproduct of the engine tuning group for maximum speed is that tuning for economy is also available. I haven’t really thought much about tuning for speed ( bad thought in this day of outrageous fuel prices) but tuning for economy- that’s a thought that sparks a lot of my interest. Since I enjoy and absolutely depend on my computer to interact with all you faithful and new readers on the web; I thought that I would talk about how to economize your fuel usage via a direct interface with your car’s ECU ( fancy word for computer).

TurnerTools.Com is just one of many tuning shops on the Internet. They have several interesting tuning products for sale and I have been taking a lot of time just reading about them and thought that I would present them to you for your interest. In the interests of time, I will add more comments tomorrow. This will be a short comment. Trust me, nothing too detailed in the art of tuning for speed or economy just some thoughts that might help us achieve better miles per gallon with the gas guzzler that we own.

We have talked about the Scangauge II and said that it can be a great support while we are juggling around the millivoltmeter with one hand and trying to make sure that the wiring on our Oxygen Sensor closest to the Catalytic Converter is correct for our EFIE to work on. The Scangauge will give us continuous readouts for fuel economy ( read MPG) through the fuel trip gauge and its 5-6 specific readouts. For $159.95 I thought that it was somewhat pricey but something that I would like to have. There were several for sale through Ebay Motors and those prices were a little bit more than the one I saw at TurnerTools.Com. The data stream from the Scangauge would give us up to date information from our engine as we were driving . A picture that I saw of the Scangauge in action was from Ozzie Freedom ( Water4Gas) and showed him actually getting double gas miles per gallon. What joy that would be. This Post will be continued tomorrow with several other devices from Turner Tools that will have a good effect on miles per gallon and fuel economy. One device is from Innovate and here is a direct link to the device. I think that you will be interested. More on this and another one tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

This was an email to a gentleman in response to some questions from his children. I thought that I would re-print it here for what its worth.

As to whether the stuff ( Hydrogen Generation) works – yes but a qualified yes. If you expect 50 % mileage gains right off the bat, you probably won’t get them. If your expectations are more reasonable, 15-25% mileage gains then that is very do-able. Much depends on the car- those model years before the car computers and sensors were installed, can do very well with hydrogen generators due to the fact that they have a carburetor rather than a more sophisticated fuel injection system. Those cars/trucks after the advent of computers in cars and their data feeds called sensors do not do as well. The reason stems from the algorithms used by the computer manufacturers and the many functional objectives that go into a fuel injection system such as: fuel efficiency, power output, emission control, reliability, and on and on. Many of the objectives can be somewhat competing or working at cross purposes such as fuel economy and for example power output .

A hydrogen generator can bubble nicely in a 1975 Dodge for example, and be feeding into the closest vacuum hose to the carburetor and you will get nice gains. But and there is always a but, take my Mada 03 Truck. It has at least seven sensors, the important one for fuel to air ratio’s is the O2 sensor closest to the catalytic converter. This tells the computer to alter the fuel flow depending on the amount of O2,CO2 in the exhaust system. The basic algorithm might say if there is XX% of O2 in this area, either increase the fuel or decrease the fuel. Everything else changes as well. The power train module (fancy name for computer) messes with the throttle to either retard or increase, shifting can take place, and on and on. But any gains from the hydrogen are soon lost through the ECU’s data which is read that more fuel is needed to overcome the situation of more O2/CO2 in the exhaust system. This is just an illustrative point. Actually the fuel to air ratio is handled in a much different manner but the results are the same. Less leaning and more rich are the ECU’s response to the changes.

What we do, we experimenters, we feed hydrogen and oxygen, and water vapor into the closest point to the inlet manifold ( for fuel injected vehicles) to help burn more completely the fractionated gasoline molecules. So we get a cleaner burn; thats good for the environment, good for the owner cause his car burns cleaner and his engine is cleaner inside , and some extra miles per gallon come about as a byproduct. To keep the gain then, you have to somehow fiddle with the prime sensor-the Oxygen sensor so that the data being sent to the computer will allow you to lean the car/truck even more than the algorithm allows it. Many folks in the field work quietly keeping their gains and using what is termed an an EFIE ( Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancement ) to lock in those gains.
Boy, this turned into a major paper on the state of the art. Let me say that hydrogen generation is here to stay and has been for the past 90 some years or more. The technology has been known for a long time its just that the crises with fossil fuels has finally reached a boiling point. Added to the pinch we are all feeling is the spectacle shown on Television each day of the useless flailing about of the Congress and Administration busily playing politics as usual, and doing little to act for the people. I feel personally that Hydrogen Generation will bring you gains-but probably not 50-100%. If you are reasonable, if you want to help clean the environment, if you want to become part of this group of experimenters ( and there are a lot of us) and if you are tired of the inaction of our most deplorable Congress and Administration then join us but remember to keep your expectations reasonable.

I forgot to add that I have a free ebook, A guide to building or buying a Hydrogen Generator . If you will email me at jimclay1153@gmail.com I will send it to you. Let me know in the email whether you are going to build or buy. If you are just thinking about it mention that as well. My Posts are usually pretty educational if I do say so myself. I try and keep fluff out of the Post and just give you the straight stuff as I see it of course. Anyway, if you are interested in the free ebook drop me an email. All the best, thanks for stopping by, Jim
