Addtional Easy Things To Do To Add MPG
Posted Under: Better Gas Mileage For Our Gas Guzzler, gas additives
Hello, I am back and wanted to add some other easy things to do to add some MPG. I have tried all of these and some have worked very well while others I am not sure of their impact on my MPG. In case you are wondering, MPG is for me, miles per gallon always expressed on gasoline that is Regular Unleaded.
Besides adding the gas additives that I have discussed earlier I also make absolutely sure that my air filter is clean or brand new. I don’t usually get on muddy or dusty roads with the Toyota so that particular filter is always in good shape. My Mazda truck however is more on dusty, muddy roads than hard surfaced ones so that I change this filter every 10K miles, and make sure it is cleaned every 3K miles when I change the oil. I feel that attention to these details will serve you well at the gas pump.
Finally, I always make up a plastic graduated bottle and add the Acetone, Xylene and GP-7 to it. I make up one for each vehicle and add the formula to each ten gallons of regular gas. The Toyota has been running in the middle to high 40′s since we began to take such attention to detail. The darn truck stays in the high teens 17-18 MPG. Both cars without the charged water4gas system that I am building. I think that the additional miles will come once the charged system is operating in the truck and car. I will move the system back and forth as each is driven gaining the maximum benefit from the hydrogen booster.
I also wanted to add an update to the information on Smacks-booster materials. I found that the stainless steel electrical switch plates can be purchased from Lowe’s Building Supply here in the USA. The cost to purchase them from our store in Murphy, NC is $1.29 each. The item # is 192282, model #93151-SP-L I believe that you can buy almost all the parts needed for the booster at Lowe’s for fairly reasonable prices.
I don’t have much else to add. Take care, thanks for reading and I will talk to you tomorrow. Jim
