6 Tips To Help You Get Better Gas Mileage From Your Car.
[lang_en]I ran across these tips the other day while surfing the net and decided to re-write and add my comments to them. They have nothing to do with the electrolyzer/Hydrogen generator programs so dear to my heart but will help you get some additional miles per gallon of gasoline from your -dare I say it- gas hogs? Anyway, here they are in no particular order:
1. If you don't already, do by all means invest in a gasoline credit card that returns you a rebate of 5-6 percent of purchases. If we must purchase expensive gas we should at least get a rebate on purchases. Rebate cards can be somewhat pricey but if you can get 5-6 percent rebate from using them it should more than balance out. And let me assure you that gas prices continues to climb with no end in sight.
2. Drive the speed limit ( that's a no- brainer) and use 60-65 when you use your cruise control. Play with those numbers to maximize your mpg. It may be you will have to go back to 55 to get the best mpg for your car. The cost in time is out weighed by the savings you will achieve.
3. Fill up with regular gas instead of the higher octane ones. If however you get knocks or pings from your car you might need to switch back to the higher octane. On this specific point the introduction of the Electrolyzer-Hydrogen Generator is already available and being used through out the world. It just isn't so well known here. Mainly I think due to the fact that we have never really been a nation of gas savers. More about these simple programs later. One final word, these simple devices can lead to double digit miles per gallon. And frankly that's what this website is all about.
4. Watch your use of the a/c during the hot days of summer. A/c uses a lot of extra gas. I have read that use of the air conditioner (a/c) can increase your use by 10-20 percent. Figuring the average cost per gallon of gas at say $3.25 you can begin to see what that will cost you.
5. Avoid rush hour traffic if you can. The reason is obvious. Stop and go driving wastes your gas at a fast rate.
6. Have your car's tires balanced and rotated. The rotating won't particularly save your gas but will help you get an even wear on your tires. The balancing will help save you gasoline by insuring that the tires don't vibrate at certain speeds and ride smoothly. Maintaining your car adds to the life of the car and helps in savings at the gas pump.
I'm in touch with some friends in England and I thought that I will add some items about the gas crunch in other countries as well. More on that Friday. Thanks for reading. Drop me an email if you wish. We will talk more about 2 other websites that specialize in simple hydrogen generators that will save you gas and are not ( so they say) difficult to build and install. Good night[/lang_en]
